What do you mean "Gradient for Staff"? Do you mean like a background color for posts or something?

Sorry, but I don't understand what you want. Could you please post an image of what you're seeking help for, if you have one? Smile

Yes,

Here's an example of what I mean:
JS
Code:
$(function() {
$('div.post:has(".mod1")').css('background','#fff url(http://image.com/example.png) repeat-y');
});

Rideem3 from FMQuery have made an API specificly for it. Try take a look at this thread: http://www.malware-site.www/t17-how-to-modify-the-post-background-of-a-specific-use

It won't work if you have edited your templates. I will then write you a unique script, if that's the case.

That's a bit too much. I don't want to be doing this over and over. Is there something more simple. That you can use in the rank for example:

Code:
<span class="admin1"><font color=#E81026><b>Admin</b></font>istrator</span>

I could write you a non-API script, but that wouldn't do the big different when it comes to the size of the script. Unless you've removed the jQuery external link, and want to avoid loading the whole library?

Than depends on how many users, you wish to make the change with?

If it's only a single one, can I make you a custom JavaScript. Otherwise, is it up to you, if you wanna use the jQuery you posted yourself or you wanda use the API by Rideem3.

This code:
Code:
$(function() {
$('div.post:has(".staff1")').css('background','#fff url(http://i47.servimg.com/u/f47/16/97/26/79/butto212.png) repeat-y');
});
is for PhpBB3

Can someone convert it to punBB?

Sir, this is the easiest way:
Goto: ACP -> Modules -> Javascript Management -> Add new javascript
Name it whatever you want but make it load 'In the topics'.
Code:
var escapeRegExp;(function(){var a=RegExp("[-\\[\\]\\/\\{\\}\\(\\)\\*\\+\\?\\.\\\\\\^\\$\\|]","g");escapeRegExp=function(b){return b.replace(a,"\\$&")}})();var postbg={add:function(a,b){a=escapeRegExp(a);a=a.replace(/\s?,\s?/g,"|");$(function(){var c=$(".username").get();for(i=0;i<c.length;i++)RegExp("^"+a+"$","g").test($(c[i]).text())&&($(c[i]).closest(".post").addClass(b),$(c[i]).closest(".postmain").addClass(b))})}};
postbg.add('Name', 'specialposts');
Change the Name part to your account name.

Now put this in your css:
Code:
.specialposts {
background: url("http://i48.servimg.com/u/f48/17/48/49/15/photo10.png") repeat-y scroll left top rgb(229, 241, 249);
}
You can change the url and color and stuff.

I'm not sure. There must be a way. I'm no master at jQuery so I won't be able to make it.
I guess there was a script for it to do it for a specific user-group. Not sure if I can find it anymore.

If your staff team has a unique image (or something a like) in the postprofile, then a simple if statement within a loop would do it. If not, would you then need to write all the usernames or userids within that if statement.
